Palanquin of Heaven

A surprisingly well written book. Having read books written by indian authors in recent times, I would say this book is leagues apart. The language is consistenly good and the story is well thought out. One thing which I really loved about this book is its originality. The story is refreshingly new and a joy to read. HR Krishna has really managed to weave an interesting story around two diametrically opposite characters, not an easy feat by any means. On the downside, the book gets stuck with a lot of details in the middle which really hinders the flow for the reader.
