This volume is based on the 1998 Second International Symposium on Computer Methods for Engineering in Porous Media. The selected contributions provide evidence that computer-based models and in particular numerical methods are essential tools for the solution of many problems encountered in the field of flow and transport in porous media. The range of subject areas presented includes numerical methods, mass transport and heat transfer and simulation studies.
Computational Methods for Flow and Transport in Porous Media also details the applications of numerical techniques applied to inverse problems, reactive transport, unsaturated media or upscaling.
