Prussian Specialist Troops 1792-1815

The Prussian armies that fought France were a key factor from the early Revolutionary Wars to the final campaigns of 1813-15, culminating in Marshal Blucher's joint victory with Wellington at Waterloo. Prussia was the most important of German states throughout the period, seeing both disaster and triumph. This work covers the Prussian Army of the Napoleonic Wars. It describes the organization, equipment, tactics and uniforms of the Artillery, Engineer and Medical branches; the staff; and colours and standards of pre-1806, post 1806 and 1815.

About the Author
Peter Hofschroer is a recognised expert on the German campaigns of the Napoleonic wars and the Prussian army in particular. He has already written 'Leipzig 1813', number 25 in the Campaign series. Christa Hook began her illustrating career in 1986. Her work has featured extensively in the worlds of publishing and television, and she has established herself as one of most popular illustrators. Her illustrations combine the historian's attention to detail with the artist's sense of drama and atmosphere, and they are sought after by collectors worldwide.
