Great Rivers-Great Hatches

There have been many people who have contributed to the successful completion of Great RiversGreat Hatches. Here are a few of them.
Garry Sandstrom of the Morning Hatch in Tacoma, Washington, and Richard Turner, an attorney and avid fly fisher also of Tacoma. Craig Shuman, an entrepreneur from Fort Collins, Colorado, and an accomplished angler, helped considerably with the information and the trip to Washington state. George Cook, a representative of Sage Rods, was a congenial host at the Isaak Ranch near Moses Lake, Washington. Much of the information on the Yakima River was obtained from two expert guides on the river, Dean Stephenson and Mike Kuffler. In Oregon the following guides helped considerably: Ken Helfrich on the McKenzie River, Craig Lacy and Alan Stewart on the Deschutes River, and Ed Miranda on the Williamson River. Others who helped were Gary Kish, without whose knowledge the insect emergence chart for the Metolius River couldn't have been completed; Bob Zagorin of the Oregon Guides and Packers Association; Denny Rickarts of Rocky Point Lodge near Klamath Falls; and Steve and Judy Carothers and Paul Pursell of Chiloquin.
