Gears of War Sourcebook

Gears of War is a ongoing comic book series published by the DC Comics' Wildstorm imprint and based on the award winning, bestselling science fiction video game franchise created by Epic Games and that is owned and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The series is set after the events that took place in the Gears of War video game and serves as a prequel to the recently launched Gears of War 2. Initial response to the first issue was mixed, but started to pile favorably with each succeeding issue. Issues 1-6 cover the opening story arc entitled "Hollow." Issue #7, entitled "The Quickening" was a special standalone issue of the story of Tai Kaliso, the proud warrior with a gentle heart whose tragedy among the storylines of the mega-hit Gears of War 2 have quite resonated with many. The latest release is a Sourcebook filled with pin-ups from some of the industry's hottest artists and a cool short story written by Joshua Ortega and illustrated by acclaimed StarCraft artist Federico Dallocchio.
