Grade 8 Up-A scholarly overview of the Roman Catholic Church in America, from 1528 to the present. The book includes black-and-white illustrations, a selective chronology, and a detailed bibliography. However, only six sidebars are referenced, while numerous other quotations are undocumented. Also, while Fisher defines terms in context, he only does so when they first appear, and there is no glossary. Other potential helps that are missing are maps (especially for pre-Revolutionary War America) and charts presenting data such as the percentage of Catholics by decade.
