Canvas is a fashion magazine !

The worlds of fashion and art have nearly always been aligned. Just as an artist uses a canvas to create, the fashion designer uses the body as a canvas, fashioning it in a particular way to convet an emotion, an attitude, or to capture in time.

We currently live in an age of mass consumption where the idea of disposability fuels our need and want for more. We are so busy with the idea of the next product, the next best thing, that we forget to enjoy, and don’t often take the time to enjoy, its end use.

Some of the designers featured need no introduction, having been successful in their craft and recognised in their industry for some time now, while others represent a new spirit and modernity in design.

Featuring Pepper & Pistol, Laura Rose, Marian Bantjes, Rowan Mersh, Bernstock Spiers, Turn Me On Design, Andy Meuller, Sandrine Pagenoux.
