Система «Дракон» в сицилианской защите имеет более чем столетнюю историю. Рождение «Дракона» состоялось в знаменитом Лондонском турнире 1862 года, когда Луи Паульсен в партии против Вильгельма Стейница сыграл 1. е4 с5 2.Кf3 g6.
